Jobs announcement for Loughrea

A jobs boost is on the way for our town, as BHSL has announced its rebrand to Glanua, with majority of the 250 jobs to be based at its new Loughrea headquarters 100 jobs are being advertised immediately in the environmental and engineering sectors, with a further 150 to be added in the next five years. BHSL is the parent company of Galway’s Glan Agua and the rebranded group will move from Limerick to be headquartered at Loughrea’s Railway House.

Credit Unions in Ireland are now the Sustainable Development Goals Champions for 2023 - 24. As a Champion, it is our responsibility to create public awareness of the SDG's. Kenny Family raise vital funds

An extremely generous donation of €40,500 was recently presented to the Intensive Care Unit and the Patient Comfort Fund at University Hospital Galway, raised in memory of the late Mary Kenny. In addition to that, a further €5,000 was donated to Strange Boat Donor Foundation, The National Organ Donor Commemorative Garden, along with €2,000 being donated to Quest Brain Injury Services in Galway. The cheque was presented by John and Isabelle Kenny, Mary's husband and daughter.
